- Signing a connection agreement with Hydro One.
- Passing inspections by the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) and Hydro One after installation.

Systems must meet ANSI/CAN/UL/CSA/IEEE/CEC standards and have ESA-approved certifications. -
Equipment Specifications:
The project must use new equipment, purchased in Canada, and owned by the eligible participant. -
Battery Storage Systems:
If including battery storage:- Must be installed by a licensed electrical contractor.
- Fully compliant with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
- Paired with a new or existing solar PV system.
- Meet all relevant CSA, CUL, and UL requirements and have ESA-approved certifications.
